Due to the personal experiences of our owner (read about it here), the March of Dimes charity is near and dear to us at Smockadot Kids.

We participate annually in the Greenville, SC March for Babies walk March for Babies 2011 - Smockadot Kids raised over $700 We look forward to participating in the 2012 Walk Find out how we have already helped babies According to March of Babies, "When you walk in March for Babies, you give hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies." Read More...

In 2011, we are adding Operation Christmas Child (through Samaritan's Purse) to our list of supported charities. We are thrilled to participate this year in distributing "Joy Boxes" (shoe boxes filled with gifts) to children in need all over the world. 8 million children received shoe boxes last year 130 countries have received shoe boxes since 1993 The mission of Operation Christmas Child, which we support, is to "demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ."

Smockadot Kids also donates quarterly to Soles 4 Souls, an organization that "collects new shoes to give relief to the victims of abject suffering and... to support micro-business efforts to eradicate poverty." In the wake of the natural disasters experienced by people all over the world and in the United States, we feel that this worthy organization is doing a lot to meet practical and social needs. We are proud to be a part of their work.

We were thrilled to donate several Smockadot products to a fundraising auction done by Covenant of Grace Students, the youth group of a church in New Mexico. The proceeds from the June 10, 2011 auction allowed 16 teenagers to attend Regeneration 2011: A New Heart at the end of July, where they grew in their faith through solid biblical teaching, worship, and fellowship with other Christians!
